Teke! Thank you for the recommendation, I just saved it on my Google Maps! For whatever reason hostels just aren't as popular a method of travel for Americans as they are for other cultures. I think that needs to change! And I agree--it doesn't have to be about "youth" and partying. For me it was about finding a new community. <3 Best of luck to Du Nord and their success!

I have a buddy who opened Du Nord Hostel up in Duluth. He gets mad when people call it a 'youth' hostel. (Sidenote: they have wood burning Sauna!!)
