Hi - Yes I have been to Wadi Rum, though we stopped there when we crossed the border from Israel on our way to Petra. We were there in 1998 and the photos I have are just like yours, so it looks like little has changed - except that the Bedouins probably have cell phones now. I liked Jordan.
Sharon that is so interesting to hear! I believe the last time my aunt had been there--maybe 5 years ago--she said there were very few lodges. So now there are several campsites where you can stay overnight. It is definitely growing in tourism, but, since the land is so vast, it still looks quite untouched! It’ll be interesting to see how it changes again in 5 or 10 years. May make me a bit sad when it’s overrun with tourism 😟, and yet tourism can be such an important part of certain countries’ economies! I agree with you--Jordan is AWESOME. ❤️
Did you ride a camel?!?!
Hahaha no not that time...it was tempting though!

Thank you Rob!! You know what?! I still love NYC just as much as the first day I set foot in that city. ❤️
Went to Jordan a few years ago and absolutely *loved* Wadi Rum as well!
Thanks for writing, you sent me right back there, with the lamb dish that was cooked in a hole in the middle of the desert sand.
That’s amazing you’ve been there--what a special place right?!? And one I’d love to try to get back to!
